Creswell crews tackle trio of grass fires

They were first called to Frithwood Lane in the village at 5.07pm to reports of grass and trees on fire.

A second, similar call was made at 5.18pm for firefighters to attend the same location.

Then at 6.02pm the third call came in reporting grass and shrubbery on fire on the railway embankment.

Derbyshire Fire Service said all three fires were put out using beaters and a water jet.

Crews finally left the scene at 6.20pm.
