COURT RESULTS: Worksop and Retford

MOTORING

Piotr Swiniarski, 32, of New Holles Court, Worksop, was found guilty of driving after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it in his breath, namely 76 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 mililitres of breath, exceeded the prescribed limit. He wa disqualified from driving for 17 months. He was also fined £200 and ordered to pay £85 in court costs and a £20 victim surcharge.

Sophie Still, 24, of Northfield Way, Retford, was found guilty of keeping a car on a public road which was unlicenced. She was fined £100 and ordered pay a vehicle excise back duty of £65.

Linda Redmond, 55, of Forest Hill Park, Worksop, was found guilty of speeding. Her driving record was endorsed with three points. She was also fined £220 and ordered to pay £85 in court costs as well as a £22 victim surcharge.

Wendy Taylor, 47, of Redforde Park Avenue, Retford, was found guilty of speeding. Her driving record was endorsed with three points. She was also fined £220 and ordered to pay £85 in court costs as well as an £22 victim surcharge.

Michael Peddle, 53, of Raymoth Lane, Worksop, was found guilty of speeding. His driving record was endorsed with three points. He was also fined £100 and ordered to pay £85 court costs along with a £20 victim surcharge.

John Sinclair, 51, of Lady Walk, Gateford, was found guilty of speeding. His driving record was endorsed with three point and he was fined £40.

John Mcmanus, 68, of Salisbury Walk, Worksop, was found guilty of not wearing an adult seatbelt whilst driving. He was fined £135 and also ordered to pay court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £20.

Alexsandra Jagielska, 21, of Norfolk Street, Worksop, was found guilty of driving a car whilst using a hand-held mobile telephone.

THEFT

Adam Zacharkiewicz, 19, of Retford Road, Worksop, was found guilty of stealing various electrical items, of a value unknown, from a building he had entered as a trespasser. He also stole two pedal cycles worth £750. He was given a community order with an electronic monitoring curfew requirement. He was also ordered to pay £85 court costs and £450 in compensation.

Graham Green, 36, of Smith Street, Mansfield, was found guilty of stealing vodka and two sandwiches, to the value of £21, belonging to Morrison’s. He was committed to prison for 21 days.

ASSAULT

John Brown, 38, of Albert Road, Retford, was found guilty of assaulting a man by beating him. He also damaged a quantity of stock at a bookshop, to the value of £106. He was ordered to pay £85 in court costs and £156 in compensation.

Russell Stevenson, 33, of Walesby Drive, Kirkby, was found guilty of assaulting a man by beating him. He was given a community order with a requirement of 120 hours of unpaid work. He was also ordered to pay £85 in court costs, a £20 victim surcharge and £50 in compensation.

Laura Thom,24, of Patterson Place, Mansfield, was found guilty of assaulting a police officer in the execution of the duty. She was given a community order with rehabilitation activity requirement. Also ordered to pay £85 in court costs and a £20 victim surcharge.

Stewart Mather, 29, of Dalestorth Avenue, Mansfield, admitted assaulting a female and damaging a door belonging to her. He was given a community order with 80 hours of unpaid work and made to pay £60 in costs.

Glen Shephard, 43, of Arun Dale, Mansfield Woodhouse, admitted assaulting a female and was given a community order with 120 hours of unpaid work and made to pay £100 compensation and £145 in costs.

OTHER

Dale Adams, 22, fo Radford Street, Worksop was found guilty, jointly with others, not being at his place of abode, having with him articles for use in the course of or connection with theft- namely plastic drums, hose pipes and gloves. He was given a community order with a electronic monitoring curfew requirement. He was also odered to pay £85 in court costs and a £60 victim surcharge.

Lee Wightman, 40, of no fixed address, admitted breaching an anti-social behaviour order by being at St Peter’s Retail Park in Mansfield and was jailed for six weeks and made to pay £80 costs.

Thomas Timson, 29, of Main Street, Walesby, admitted failing to comply with shotgun certificate laws and storing firearms and ammunition. He was made to pay £850 in fines, and £150 in costs.

Sean Harpe, 18, c/o Noel Street, Mansfield, admitted breaching a restraining order by contacting a female and possession of cannabis. He was given a community order and made to pay £50 compensation to the victim.
