COURT RESULTS: Worksop and Retford

The following people from the Worksop and Retford areas have recently appeared before the courts.

ASSAULT

Daniel Hayes, 26, of of Carlton Road, Worksop. Assaulted a male. Community made with unpaid work requirement- must complete 120 hours. Also ordered to pay £300 in compensation and £85 in court costs.

Christopher Deakin-Firth, 26, of James Street, Worksop. Assaulted a female by beating her. Community order made with rehabilitation requirement. Must also complete a Building Better Relationships programme. Also ordered to pay £85 in court costs and an £85 victim surcharge.

MOTORING

Adam Zacharkiewicz, 20, of Retford Road, Worksop. Without the consent of the owner, or other lawful authority, took a car, namely a Yahama YBR, for the use of himself or another. Discharged conditionally for six months. Also ordered to pay £250 in compensation and £85 court costs.

Jason Cobb, 33, of West Hill Road, Retford. Drove a car in Clumber Park after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it in his blood, namely 167 milligrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood, exceeded the legal limit. The legal limit is 107 milligrammes. Disqualified from driving for 20 months. Fined £120. Must also pay £85 court costs and a victim surcharge of £30.

Adam Rodgers, 37, of Avon Way, Worksop. When suspected of having driven a vehicle and having been required to provide a specimen of breath for analysis in the course of investigation into whether or not he had committed an offence, failed without reasonable excuse to do so. Disqualified from driving for 36 months. Community order made wit unpaid work requirement- must carry out 120 hours of unpaid work. Also ordered to pay court costs of £85 and an £85 victim surcharge.

Ian Brammer, 44, of Chatsworth Court, Bircotes. Having been required by or on behalf of the chief officer for Nottinghamshire Police, failed to give information relating to the identity of an driver who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence. Driving record endorsed with six points. Fined £180. Must also pay court costs of £85 and a £20 victim surcharge.

Pawel Maksylewicz, 37, of Sitwell Road, Worksop. Drove a car at 37mph in a restricted 30mph zone. Driving record endorsed with three points. Also ordered to pay an £80 fine and £20 victim surcharge.

THEFT

Matthew Slack, 30, of Barnes Court, Retford. Stole DVDs to the value of £100 belonging to WM Morrison. Discharged conditionally for 12 months. Must also pay £85 in court costs and a £30 victim surcharge.

OTHER

Lee Richardson, 39, of Ely Close, Worksop. Had with him at The Canch, Worksop an offensive weapon, namely a knuckle duster. Also stole toiletries, to the value of £30, belonging to Boots. Community order made with unpaid work requirement- must carry out £140 hours of unpaid work. Also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £85.

Wayne Maxwell, 27, of Sitwell Gardens, Worksop. Pursued a course of conduct that results in the harassment of a female by sending her a large number of text messages and persistently confronting her when she took her young child to and from school. Community order made with rehabilitation requirement. Restraining order imposed forbidding defendant to contact the female. He must also pay compensation of £85.
