BENEFIT FRAUD

Failing to notify authorities of changes to circumstances which would affect entitlement to Income Support, Housing and Council Tax benefit, and Carers’ Allowance. Given community order for 12 months and ordered to complete 120 hours of unpaid work in the community. Ordered to pay £100 court costs and a victim surcharge of £60.

DRUGS

Jason Brett Cauwood, 23, Main Street, Upton, Retford. Possession of Class B drug cannabis. Using a motor vehicle without third party insurance, and failing to stop when instructed to do so by a police officer. Licence endorsed with eight penalty points. Fined £400 and ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £20 victim surcharge.

THEFT

Martyn Thomas Hart, 34, Queens Street, Worksop. Stole plant pots to the value of £200 from B&Q. Failed to answer to bail check. Prison sentence of two months.

Lee Richardson, 36, Ely Close, Worksop. Stole tracksuit bottoms of value unknown from Peacocks. Given six month community order with supervision order and orders to attend market garden project for rehabilitation and training. Ordered to pay £80 court costs and a £65 victim surcharge.

Benjamin Worrell, 22, no fixed abode. Stole property to the value of £130, and on three occasions made false representation by using a bank card belonging to another by withdraw a total of £400. Order made to restore £500 to victim. Given community order with requirement to participate in Thinking Skills programme for 19 days. Ordered to pay compensation of £30.

ASSAULT

John Colin Tindall, 43, Tranter Lane, Rhodesia. Assaulted a woman in Worksop. prison sentence of 24 weeks suspended for 12 months. Ordered to pay compensation of £100, £100 court costs and an £80 victim surcharge.

Jacob Craig Denovan, 20, Milnercroft, Retford. Used threatening, abusive and insulting words towards a victim or behaved in such a manner that caused the victim to believe that unlawful violence would be used against them. Committed criminal damage to an unknown to a metal gate belonging to a victim. Prison sentence of three months.

ORDER BREACH

Lisa Robertson, 31, Watson Road, Worksop. Failed to comply with community requirement of suspended sentence order by failing to attend pre-arranged appointments. Stole cheese to the value of £50 from Sainsburys in Worksop. Failed without to surrender to custody having been released on bail. Prison sentence of 22 weeks for order breach and four weeks consecutively for each subsequent offence. Total sentence 30 weeks.

Darren Peter Tomlinson, 30, Strathaven Road, Carlton-in-Lindrick. Driving under the influence of excess alcohol. Disqualified from driving for a period of 12 months. Fined £280 and ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £28 victim surcharge.
