Could your child win a role in David Copperfield?

Final auditions will take place this weekend for young performers looking to land a supporting role in a new production of David Copperfield.

Two large teams of musical theatre performers aged between eight and 21 are needed for a strong junior ensemble and to work alongside the adult professionals in the show.

Based on the much-loved novel by Charles Dickens, David Copperfield, the musical, will be staged at the Pomegranate Theatre in Chesterfield in April.

Anne Dalton, the show’s award-winning writer and producer, said: “David Copperfield, the musical, is large scale and so the input of local performers is tremendously important.

“Our last visit to the theatre unearthed so much talent, it was staggering, so we’d welcome auditionees from within a 50-mile radius.

“They must all be good all-rounders, respond well to direction and give 100 per cent commitment. I am really looking forward to the auditions and working with a new cast of talented performers from the area.”

Final auditions for David Copperfield will take place on Sunday January 24 at The Arkwright Centre, Hardwick Drive, Chesterfield at 10.30am. For further information phone 01704 880607 or email [email protected].
