Saturday, March 19, 11am,animal encounters. Ever wanted to get up close and personal with a cuddly critter? Well now's your chance as Wetlands Animal Park are bringing the wild to you, with a range of exotic animals coming to Worksop Library for you to meet and have your photo taken with. A Keeper from Wetlands will be on hand with the animals and can answer any questions you may have. Have your photo taken with a skunk. Dare to stroke a snake? Or are you brave enough to hold a tarantula?

Wednesday, March 23, 2pm, local history talk - The Diary of a Joskin. Do you know what a “joskin” is? Pop along and hear Jennie Johnson talk about the journals of Fred Kitchen 1890-1969 and find out. Fred was born in Edwinstowe in 1890 and throughout his life became a local farm labourer, miner and writer of rural tales. This is a free event, to book a place telephone the library on 01909 535353.
