Discussions: The Society for the History of Astronomy, a free Open University course, an Astronomy Evening at Idle Valley Nature Reserve.

Visibilities: five planets in the morning sky, comet Catalina.

Members observations: Sunspots, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, comet Catalina.

Main event: Using telescopes and Planispheres with James Ince and David Wilson.

The next meeting is at Gateford Park Primary School, Wednesday, February 3, 7.50pm to 10pm, admission free.
