The community event will take place on Saturday 13th September at Heritage High School on Boughton Lane, Clowne.

This year there will be a jam-packed programme of live entertainment including some acts who are brand new to this year.

On the day, there will be music for the whole family including some pop and marching bands.

Creswell Colliery brass band will also be making an appearance and will be playing live.

The band will be offering a session where people are invited to go and play the instruments.

There will be lots of activities going on for the children, such as friendly football matches, dancing, pony rides, inflatables and a fairground organ.

Organisers Joyce and David Hindley are hoping this year’s event will be as popular as last year, which was hailed as a great success.

The couple would like this year’s Gala to do even better.

As usual, a range of hot and cold refreshments will be available to buy throughout the day.

Various stalls selling handmade craft and gifts will be set up for people to have a browse around and there will be exhibitions too.

The sunshine is due to make an appearance on Saturday with dry conditions and some light winds.

Entry to the family event is free.

Only guide dogs are allowed into the Gala.

The Clowne Gala will start at 11am and will finish at 3pm.

It is an annual community event aimed to celebrate the town.
