Clowne: Derelict old college site to be developed

A derelict site in Clowne is to get new life breathed into it again.

A development of 81 homes is to be built is to built on land in the centre of Clowne where North Derby College once stood.

The land has been derelict since the college was demolished but now Bellway Homes is planning to turn the site in Rectory Road, into Scholars Place.

Sales advisor Pam Shelley said: “We have had some really positive feedback on the homes and on site as a whole.

People have said they are pleased to see the build going ahead and the mix of house types and sizes has been well received.”

The development has been eagerly awaited since the demolition of the former college.
