Clowne: Appeal after attempted robbery

Police are appealing for information about an attempted robbery on a man as he walked home through Clowne.

At around 11.15pm on Saturday, 28th December, a 32-year-old man was walking down a footpath off King Street when he was approached by two men.

The victim felt a hit to the back of his head and was grabbed by one of the men who held the victim’s arms behind his back before demanding cash.

The victim struggled free and a car came past which caused the offenders to run off.

Nothing was stolen and the victim didn’t suffer any injuries.
