Child charity success
Bassetlaw NCT’s fundraising records were smashed when more than 550 adults came through the doors of North Notts Arena for its latest Nearly New Sale.
More than 5,700 items were sold with commission from each sale going towards providing crucial support for parents in the Bassetlaw area and nationally, including funding for local parent and baby groups, breastfeeding support for new mums and a national parents helpline.
Bassetlaw NCT branch co-ordinator Kay Piaercey said: “It is an amazing feeling knowing we are now reaching more parents than ever in these financially challenging times, while doing our bit for environment by recycling and raising funds for the NCT.”
