Cheque for urology unit

The Urology Department at Doncaster Royal Infirmary received a cheque for £469 recently.

Fundraiser Graham Bates presented the cheque at the Station Hotel in Worksop where much of the money had been raised.

Graham was diagnosed with prostate cancer in April last year. The initial diagnosis took place at Doncaster Royal Infirmary where it was confirmed that malignant cancer cells had been found.

He was later treated at St James Hospital in Leeds and hopefully is now free of cancer.

Graham is committed to raising awareness of prostate cancer.

He thanked everyone involved in his treatment and his family and friends who supported him throughout.
