Health bosses are urging men to check themselves for the signs of testicular cancer this week during Male Cancer Awareness Week (23rd - 29th April).

Director of public health for NHS North of England, Paul Johnstone, said: “We all know men sometimes find it difficult to seek help about problems like this, but you should never ignore a lump or swelling. It is very important to visit your GP as soon as you notice anything abnormal on your testicle.”
