Charity night for Wayne

GENEROUS-HEARTED folk enjoyed a special charity night at St Joseph’s Club to raise money for Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.

The night, which was held in memory of Wayne Fox who died suddenly in September 2010, raised £1,395 for the charity.

It followed a similar fundraiser held at the club last November which raised £802 for Bassetlaw Hospice in memory of Phil Fores, who passed away in 2010.

Organiser Nigel Cutts said the event was a great success.

“It was excellent and there was a great atmosphere,” he said.

“My thanks go to everyone who helped, particularly the bar and kitchen staff and Jackie and Sandra who did the pie and pea suppers.”
