Those interested in the role can find out more at two recruitment days at the Manby depot on Tuesday, August 9, and the Ancaster depot on Thursday, August 11.

The recruitment events will run from 10am to 3pm. It is essential you book in advance.

Councillor Richard Davies, Executive Member for Highways and Transport, said: “Our gritting team are massively important, helping to keep us all safe on the roads during the winter.

“Every time they go out they treat up to 2,000 miles of road – often while most of us are asleep.”
