Carlton-in-Lindrick: Almost £500 raised for Indian orphans

Almost £500 was raised at the annual Christmas coffee morning at the Grey Horses Inn in Carlton-in-Lindrick in aid of the orphaned children and the poor in Father Showry’s Diocese in Southern India.

The morning included stalls, coffee and cakes,a tombola, fortune telling and raffle where prizes included a meal at the Grey Horses, wine, champagne, a cricket book and a fashionable scarf.

Organiser Rosemary Thomas, extended her thanks to Sally and Chris of the Grey Horses for all their help and also to all who contributed to making the morning such a success.
