Campaign meeting over disabled parking ban

Bassetlaw Disability Action Team (B-DAT) have organised a meeting to discuss the parking ban which came into effect on Tuesday 22nd May.

A group spokesman said they want to raise awareness of disability issues locally.

“Residents have become increasingly frustrated by a lack of response from Notts County Council, so they have taken it upon themselves to campaign for a concession to be given to those who have difficulty in getting about, such as blue or green badge holders,” he said.

The meeting will be held at 1pm at the Grafton Hotel, Gateford Road, Worksop on Tuesday 29th May.

Parking is available at the top of Wickes car park.
