Busy time at Wales High

PUPILS at Wales High School have had a busy and varied few weeks.

The National Blood Service visited the school giving staff and pupils the opportunity to donate blood.

Lead blood relations manger Holly Mason said: “The school has been invovled for around 18 months (in donating blood) and, judging by the numbers we’ve received, the school is still performing well.”

The visit also enabled the National Blood Service to increase awareness of blood donation to the community.

Last week the school was the venue for an international art exhibition.

As well as displaying art produced by its own pupils, the school also had work by pupils at College Ibn Sina from Casablanca - one of its partner schools - and Harthill Primary.

The Moroccan Tourist Office were also present at the give more information to visitors about the country.
