Jobs boost as new store opens in Worksop

Three new jobs have been created in Worksop with the opening of a new store.

Ramsdens, which specialises in buying and selling goods and financial services, has opened a new store in the former Jollys Jewellers premises on Newcastle Avenue.

Leighanne Thompson, store manager, said: “It’s fantastic to be opening the doors of our new Worksop store, just in time for Christmas.

“We’re looking forward to helping customers choose that perfect gift for Christmas - without breaking the bank.”

Peter Kenyon, Ramsdens chief executive officer, said: “We’re thrilled to be opening in Worksop as we continue to expand the Ramsdens brand and bring excellent value-for-money services to new customers across the UK.

“This is part of our long-term store expansion strategy to open about 12 new stores per year.”

The new Worksop branch is the 140th Ramsdens store in the UK.

Jobs created at the store include a managerial role and two sales assistants positions.
