BREAKING: Specialist unit approved for Nottinghamshire abuse victims

A specialist unit has been approved by the county council today (September 21) to deal with victims who were abused in Nottinghamshire children’s homes.

This decision comes after there was a surge in the number of historical allegations of abuse in homes across the county.

And in an interview this morning, Steve Edwards, who is responsible for children’s social care in the county, announced that more than 40 people who were abused in these homes have been paid compensation.
