BREAKING NEWS: Gainsborough lorry crash driver died at scene

Police have confirmed that the driver of a lorry which overturned near Gainsborough yesterday (18th May) died at the scene of the crash.

The collision was at Beckingham and is being investigated by Notts Police.

The incident on the A631 was reported to the police just before 3pm on Monday.

A lorry travelling towards Gainsborough had left the road and when officers arrived, the lorry driver, a 49-year-old man, was found to have died.

No other vehicles were involved in the incident and the road was re-opened around midnight.

Any witnesses are asked to call Notts Police on 101.
