Bramley: Fire drama at supermarket petrol station

A supermarket petrol station in Bramley had to be evacuated after a car caught fire on its forecourt.

The incident occurred at the Morrison’s on Bawtry Road and firefighters from Maltby were called to the scene.

A Morrison’s spokesman said: “Staff followed procedure by immediately evacuating the petrol station and calling the fire brigade”.

“Nobody was harmed in the incident and no damage was sustained other than to the car which caught fire.”

“The petrol station was able to reopen later that afternoon after the fire brigade had checked and confirmed the area was safe.”
