Gary Stuart Dyke, 40, of Clegg Hill Drive, Huthwaite, admitted being drunk and disorderly in the shopping centre on Friday March 18.

Ruth Snodin, prosecuting, said Dyke shouted: “We should go down the ports and stop all the immigrants coming in.”

Dyke told the court: “Alcohol is a big issue in my life. It always has been.

“I have been brought up with alcohol. It is getting me in trouble with what I say.”

Magistrates fined him £80 and ordered him to pay costs of £40 and a victim surcharge of £20.

He was advised to seek professional help with his drinking.
