Bolsover: Council takes the lead in helping dog owners

Dog owners from far and wide took advantage of four free PetCheck Roadshows held across Bolsover District and North East Derbys District recently.

Both Councils, in association with the PDSA, staged the roadshows at Bolsover, Eckington, Clay Cross and South Normanton and 205 dogs where micro-chipped by the Council’s Dog Warden and 111 received health checks from the PDSA veterinary nurse.

The free dog check-ups - which included weight, eyes, teeth, ears, coat condition and general fitness – where all undertaken by an experienced veterinary nurse who gave the owners feedback on the health of their dog.
