Officers conducting a search for a missing man discovered a body yesterday (Tuesday, January 6) at Middle Peak Quarry.
A formal identification has been carried out this afternoon and police can confirm it is missing man Trevor Smith, of Bowling Green Lane, Wirksworth.
Mr Smith was also known as Trevor Hancock and was reported missing on Monday, January 5.
