Blyton: Residents evacuated and road closed after fire at workshop which contains gas cylinders

Lincs Fire and Rescue were called to a workshop on High Street in Blyton after a fire was reported at around 1.25pm today (Wednesday 15th October).

The workshop is believed to contain acetylene (gas) cylinders therefore reisdents within 100 metres of the blaze have been evacuated and the road has been closed with diversions being set up.

Fire and Rescue Services from Lincolnshire, Humberside, and Nottinghamshire are in attendance with seven appliances and 40 firefighters.

They are being supported by Lincs Police and East Midlands Ambulance Service.
