Most people can give blood. If you are generally in good health, aged 17 to 65 - if it’s your first time donating - and weigh at last 50kg then you can donate. If you are female, aged under 20-years-old and weigh under 65kg, then your blood volume will have to be estimated before donating.

You can give blood every 16 weeks and should eat and drink before you give blood.
