Jamie Morris, of Herriott Grove, was originally slapped with with the Anti Social Behaviour Injunction at Mansfield County Court last December after preying on two elderly victims in Bircotes over a prolonged period.

His offences included subjecting his victims to continuous harassment, demands for money, threats of physical harm and repeated threats to turn off the gas supply to one of the properties.

The 28 year-old was found to have breached the terms of his ASBI in Janurary after he had entered an exclusion zone that was put in place to prevent him returning to the homes of his victims.

This area includes the estate between Bawtry Road and Baulk Lane, including Sandrock Road, Lindsey Road, Beech Road and the surrounding streets.

Don Spittlehouse, managing director of A1 Housing, said: “Mr Morris is a callous and dangerous individual who has preyed on elderly and vulnerable individuals simply for his own selfish gain.

“These cowardly and savage actions have now been recognised by the courts.

“Thanks to the co-operation and close partnership working with Nottinghamshire Police, Morris will now be sentenced appropriately.

“Should you see Mr Morris in the exclusion zone, I would urge all Bircotes and Harworth residents to contact Nottinghamshire Police so he may be arrested again and be put before the courts.”

A hearing to determine sentencing is scheduled for April 22.

“If you believe that an elderly neighbour or relative is being targeted by Morris, or any other unscrupulous individual, please report your concerns to Nottinghamshire Police on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
