Jamal Jordan Robinson, 23, of Stockdale Close, admitted all three offences when he appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Monday.

He also admitted possession of a small quantity of cannabis which was found when his Vauxhall Astra was searched by police, on Bestwood Park Drive, on May 8.

Claire Moran, mitigating, said: “He bought the car for £110 with a view to fixing it up and selling it on.

“He took the foolish decision to drive the car.

“There was no suggestion that he was driving dangerously or recklessly.”

Magistrates fined him £100 and ordered him to pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £30.

The car was seized by police and the drugs were destroyed.
