Bawtry: Police hunt four men over racist attack

Police want to speak to them in connection with an alleged racist attack in Bawtry.

They may hold vital information about the incident which happened in Market Place, Bawtry, at around 11.55pm on Saturday 2nd November.

A 42-year-old Asian taxi driver was sitting in his vehicle in the petrol station when a group of unknown men approached him and were verbally abusive, using racist language.

The driver then attempted to leave the forecourt but the men tried to open the taxi door and punched a wing mirror, causing damage to the vehicle. They then made off on foot.

South Yorkshire Police officers want to speak to the four men captured in these CCTV images, at a nearby petrol station.

They may hold vital information on the incident which is being treated as racially-aggravated criminal damage.
