PC Emma Taylorson, from Doncaster CID, said: “This vehicle would have taken some moving and there could well have been more than one person involved in the incident.”

“It isn’t an inconspicuous item either, it’s a very large trailer with a big lorry on the back so chances are that someone will have seen it in transit.”

“I’m urging people in the local area to think back to Friday night, did you see anyone acting suspiciously in the Doncaster Road area? Have you seen the large trailer or do you know anything that could help our enquiries?”

Anyone with information is asked to call South Yorkshire Police on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, quoting incident number 391 of 1st March 2014.
