Bassetlaw: Sarah Downes appointed as the Conservatives new prospective parliamentary candidate

Bassetlaw’s new Conservative prospective parliamentary candidate has been chosen.

Sarah Downes, 35, was chosen during a meeting at Clarborough Village Hall.

She works as a manager at a care home and has experience of health and social care

Sarah said: “I am very proud and honoured to be selected to represent Bassetlaw for the Conservative Party in the General Election in May 2015.”

“I look forward to hearing from Bassetlaw constituents about the issues that matter

to them.”

“I will campaign passionately to oppose the empty promises of the Labour party and UKIP. The Conservatives are the only party that will deliver jobs and investment for Bassetlaw, an EU referendum, and great local schools.”

Chairman of the association, Mike Quigley MBE said: “Bassetlaw is fortunate to have secured a candidate of the calibre of Sarah to fight the Bassetlaw seat. We all look forward to working with her.”
