Bassetlaw: Run in Retford or swim in Creswell for Sport Relief
Sport Relief is back next month and organisers of the Sainsbury’s-sponsored event are encouraging local people to do their bit for charity once more by taking part in various events around the country.
And this year, the traditional Sport Relief mile has been joined by other options such as running or cycling, to encourage more people to take part.
For Bassetlaw residents, there is a choice of running or swimming to take part with a Sport Relief Mile at Retford and a swimathon at Creswell Leisure Centre.
The run takes place on Sunday, 23rd March from 10am to 1pm.

Hide AdMeanwhile, the swimming has sessions over the three days of Sport Relief, from Friday, 21st March to the Sunday.
There are also Sport Relief miles at Hardwick and Rotherham and another swimathon at Maltby Leisure Centre.
For local cyclists, the nearest Sport Relief event is in Manchester on the Sunday.
