Bassetlaw: Parks and cemeteries closed due to high winds
Bassetlaw Council has closed some parks and cemeteries this afternoon (Wednesday) due to the high winds.
Hannah Park Cemetery and Manton Cemetery, in Worksop and Kings’ Park and Retford Cemetery were closed at 3pm.
The council is advising all residents to take extra care and avoid the other parks and open spaces as the Met Office has forecast gusts of up to 60mph.
All parks, cemeteries and open spaces are expected to open as normal from 9am tomorrow (Thursday).
