Bassetlaw: MP warns motorists: ‘Don’t be misled by today’s parking fine announcement’

Today in Parliament (Friday 6th March) the Government announced that motorists will be given a 10 minute “grace period” when their parking tickets run out - but Bassetlaw MP John Mann has warned that the measure doesn’t cover private car parks.

Mann said: “Motorists should be careful not to be misled by today’s announcement. The grace period does not cover private car parks such as the one at the Priory Centre in Worksop.”

“This smoke and mirrors measure does not go far enough. I have written to the Government calling on them to extend the grace period to private car parks. Only then will the Priory Centre and spy cameras be covered.”
