Bassetlaw: Dancers take to the floor for the last time
The twice-weekly dances, which took place it Retford and Worksop, were organised in aid of Bassetlaw Hospice and regularly attracted over 100 people.
But now the organisers - Barbara Goodwin, Rita Devine, Mervyn Dalton and Danny Devine - have decided that it’s time to give their dancing shoes a well-earned rest.

The dances couldn’t have taken place without the help and support of the main four volunteers who have tirelessly worked to organise the events each year.”
“We would like to say a huge thank you to Barbara and Rita who have organised all the catering for the events because putting on sandwiches and cakes for over 100 people each time is not an easy task.”
“We also want to thank Mervyn, who has sold the tickets each year and Danny who has been the MC at every dance, we really appreciate all the time and effort these wonderful people have put into this event over the years.”
