Bassetlaw Council leader replaced by deputy
BASSETLAW Council leader Graham Oxby was replaced by his deputy Simon Greaves at a Labour Party meeting last night (Tuesday).
Members voted 17-17 and 17-17 in the first and second rounds, with Coun Oxby losing in the final vote 16-18.
The move came just days after Coun Oxby led his party in the Bassetlaw Council 3rd May elections, which saw Labour scoop seven new seats.
