Bassetlaw: Council issue warning on council tax phone scam
Bassetlaw Council have issued a warning after residents have been contacted concerning problems with their council tax payments.
A resident was contacted via a voicemail message stating there was a problem with their council tax payments and for them to call back and a mobile number was left.
Bassetlaw Council only issue formal reminder/summons documents and they would never leave a mobile number as a contact.
If a person doesn’t owe anything then they would not be contacted.
