Bassetlaw: Clean up continues after gale force winds

Teams are currently working in various locations around the district and they have reopened Retford Cemetery in order for services to proceed today.

Kings’ Park will remain closed for the remainder of the day.

Even when the main part of the park is re-opened the footpath that exits the park onto Cobwell Road and gives access to the ball court and skate park, on the Celery Field, will remain closed until next week.

Once the trees have been cleared the authority will be working with Notts County Council to ensure that the footpath is safe before re-opening it to the public.

Residents are asked not to try and access the footpath and the Celery Field until further notice.
