Bassetlaw cadets honoured by Lord-Lieutenant

Two cadets from Bassetlaw have been named among the Lord-Lieutenant of Nottinghamshire's Cadets of the Year.

Sir John Peace, the Lord-Lieutenant chose 1403 Sqdn ATC Lewis Rice and TS Bentinck Sea Scout Ryan Arnold among those to be honoured.

Coun Jim Anderson, chairman of Bassetlaw Council, said the awards were an outstanding achievement.

He added: “Bassetlaw Council is justifiably proud of their awards, their merit and their record of fine service to Queen, country, regiment and fellow man.

They set an excellent example to all young people.”
