The Bassetlaw Bash event saw 148 walkers to take part in the challenge on Sunday 21st April to raise more than £1,300 for the charity.

Bassetlaw Hospice fund-raising and events co-ordinator Helen Eshelby thanked everyone who took part in the sponsored walk to raise money for a great cause.

“It was a great day and we had 148 entries in total,” she said.

“We would like to thank all those who helped on the day as well as our sponsors Western Power Distribution which ensured all the finishers had a tasty pie and pea meal at the end.”

She added: “People travelled from all over the country to do the walk, including two men in their 70s from London because they didn’t get into the Marathon!”
