Flappers, gangsters and molls paraded round the corridors and wards, while visitors made the most of the cupcakes made by the centre’s chefs to raise money for the fundraising extravaganza.

The winner of the Best Dressed competition was centre administrative manager Diane Hardy, dressed as an Al Capone-style gangster.

Hospital director Steve Booker said: “Once again I was very proud of the team, who threw themselves into the event, providing raffle prizes, selling tickets and cakes, and finding the time to come up with wonderful costumes in order to support disadvantaged children across the UK.”
