Barlborough man arrested after M62 double fatal horror crash

A 22-year-old Barlborough man arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after a double fatal on the M62 yesterday morning has been released by police pending further inquiries.

Police were called to the scene just after 2.30am on Monday following a report of a vehicle driving the wrong way down the M62 at junction 26.

Two vehicles - a white Skoda Octavia and a black Vauxhall Insignia - were then located having been involved in a collision.

Sadly, two men, aged 34 and 37, were found dead in the Skoda.

A 22-year-old man from the Barlborough area was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and was taken into police custody. He has since been released pending further investigations.
