Barlborough: Great results for Barlborough NHS Treatment Centre
The centre scored 99 percent for cleanliness, 89 percent for food and hydration, 92 percent for privacy, dignity and wellbeing and 91 percent for condition, appearance and maintenance.
The new assessment, Patient-Led Assessment of Care Environment (PLACE), puts patients at the heart of the process and the patient assessors have access to all areas including wards, pre-admission, treatment rooms and the outpatients department.

Martin Page, hospital director at Barlborough NHS Treatment Centre, said: “The team takes patient feedback very seriously and welcomes what PLACE is trying to achieve.”
“I’m delighted that the assessors’ report reflects how hard we work to provide patients with a first-class experience, particularly our focus on cleanliness, which has resulted in the centre having no cases of MRSA or other hospital acquired infections.”
The team at the Care UK-run treatment centre on Lindrick Way is also celebrating a recent open day which was a huge success, attracting 400 visitors who were treated to free health checks, information packs and tours of the operating theatres, patient wards, x-ray department and physiotherapy gym.
