Ball raises money
TWO charities are to benefit from the generosity of business people in the area.
The Barnsley and Rotherham Chamber of Commerce handed over £5,000 each to Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, based in North Anston and Maltby’s dementia charity Lost Chord.
The money was raised at last year’s President’s Charity Ball.

Hide AdChamber president Chris MacCormac said: “I am proud of the generosity and willingness to give to those in need shown by business people in Barnsley and Rotherham over the years.”
“The creation of this fund will now enable us to distribute the monies donated more widely and to support more ‘smaller’ charitable organisations whose resources may be stretched. I look forward to working with these charities in the future.”
This year’s ball will be held at the Magna Centre on 12th May.
