Bag containing over £4k of electrical items taken from Nottingham train

The black NIKE holdall, which contained a number of electrical items including an iPad and a Nikon Camera, was taken from the overhead luggage racks on the service on Friday, 22 January.

The victim, a 21-year-old man from Nottingham, realised the bag had been taken shortly after arriving at his destination.

PC Adam Ashton from BTP said: “The man we would like to speak to was carrying a similar bag when he boarded the train, so it may have been that he took the bag by mistake. However the victim’s bag contained his wallet and driving license which clearly shows his address and contacts details and to date no attempts have been made to contact him.

“We have also undertaken extensive checks in lost property offices and nothing has been handed in.

“CCTV enquiries from the train have revealed the image of a man who was seen leaving the train at Sutton Parkway, who we believe may have more information about what happened. I’d urge anyone who knows his identity to contact us.”
