B & Q opens its doors

The store on Lea Road was very busy as staff old and new welcomed customers and celebrated with a number of different in-store activities including face painting and competitions.

Over the past two months, the shop has been refitting the former Focus DIY store with daily lorry deliveries to get the new store ready for opening.

Store manager Richard Reeves said: “This site has served the local community for years and we aim to continue the good work, through helping customers create their dream homes but giving something back with our fund raising efforts for local charities.”
