THE future of frontline fire services in Notts will be discussed on Friday, expected to result in a big shake up.
Stations like Worksop, Retford and Edwinstowe look set to be streamlined, with some fire engines and crews being moved to different locations.
Nearly a third of senior fire officers in the county could lose their jobs, with back office station staff also facing redundancy or redeployment.
Notts and City of Nottingham Fire Authority will consider three options when it meets on Friday.
The chosen option will then be open to public consultation before a final plan is put in place.
The authority must make £6.5 million of savings over the next four years after the Government grant was cut.
