Aston: Aston firefighters called in to help tackle furniture store blaze

The Furinture For Less store in Woodseats went up in flames just before 6pm yesterday evening (Tuesday, 22nd October).

Initially, four crews from around Sheffield were called to deal wtih the blaze but the number of appliances on site had to be doubled at the fire’s height with Aston among the crews called in to help.

Roads around the scene were closed as fire crews battled to control and eventually put out the fire.

This morning (Wednesdsay, 23rd October), the fire is out and several crews have now left the scene, but some remain to continue damping down.
