Assault leaves elderly man with broken shoulder

The 69-year-old local man was approached by four youths as he cycled along Heapham Road near Dorton Avenue on Monday at around 3pm.

One youth knocked him off his bike causing him to need hospital treatment.

He suffered a broken collar bone, grazed knee and a broken thumb but was discharged from hospital later that evening.

Investigations are still ongoing and police want to hear from anyone who witnessed the assault or has any information.
